Words for Thought

I have been awake since 6 am April 25th, it is now about 9am April 26th. I will most likely continue to be awake as I am sitting with my Matteo helping him write this massive paper for one of his theology courses (he goes to Hope international university) I'm oh so proud of him for sticking through it and getting done what needs to be done, we're learning to not leave things to the last minute right now.... ha

so here are some quotes I find inspiring, right this moment, in the here and now.

"Everything that needs to happen, will happen, in the time that it takes to happen, the way it was meant to happen. You need to trust in that."

"Unless it is mad, passionate, extraordinary love, it’s a waste of time. There are too many mediocre things in life—love should not be one of them."

"If ever there is tomorrow when we’re not together.. there is something you must always remember. you are braver than you believe, stronger than you seem, and smarter than you think. but the most important thing is, even if we’re apart.. i’ll always be with you"
— winnie the pooh

"I believe that the purpose of life is to be happy. From the moment of birth, every human being wants happiness and does not want suffering. Neither social conditioning nor education nor ideology affect this. From the very core of our being, we simply desire contentment. I don’t know whether the universe, with its countless galaxies, stars and planets, has a deeper meaning or not, but at the very least, it is clear that we humans who live on this earth face the task of making a happy life for ourselves."

— Tenzin Gyatso; The Fourteenth Dalai Lama

"whenever you find yourself on the side of the majority, it is time to pause and reflect."
–mark twain

"When the Japanese mend broken objects, they aggrandize the damage by filling the cracks with gold. They believe that when something’s suffered damage and has a history, it becomes more beautiful."
Barbara Bloom

"I thought growing up was something that happened automatically as you got older. But it turns out it’s something you have to choose to do."
–scrubs

"I’d rather regret the things I have done than the things I have not."
–lucelle ball

"If you think you’re too small to be effective, you have never been in bed with a mosquito."

—Bette Reese

"Silly is you in a natural state, and serious is something you have to do until you can get silly again."
–mike myers

"remember this: No one is looking at your imperfections; they’re all too busy worrying about their own."
—Isaac Mizrahi

"children will not remember you for the material things you provided but for the feeling that you cherished them."
—Richard L. Evans

"logic will get you from A to Z; imagination will get you everywhere."

—Albert Einstein

"And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love."
1 Corinthians 13:13
